Global network

igefa global vernetzt - ÜbersichtskarteGlobal partnerships are a decisive key for the future development of our organisation.

In order to be able to supply internationally active customers with our solutions worldwide, igefa became internationally active at an early stage:

  • Takeovers and the establishment of new companies in neighbouring European countries
  • Merger with other companies to create igefa international
  • Establishment and membership in the INPACS wholesale specialist network
  • Membership of the American group NETWORK SERVICES COMPANY

Today, customers can be supplied in over 35 countries via a global network:

  • Almost all European countries
  • Israel
  • Australia
  • Russia
  • Latin, Central and North America - via membership of the NETWORK SERVICES COMPANY group
  • Since 2017 in the United Arab Emirates

In INPACS, membership is only open to family-run business structures - like ours at igefa.

All the companies, institutions and cooperation partners that are INPACS members have a long family tradition. During the course of the years, they have achieved a strong market position and represent core values such as reliability, flexibility and integrity.

INPACS Familie

INPACS was founded in 2004.

It offers unique supply solutions to international customers:

  • international service standards throughout
  • flexible structures and personal customer contact - central and local
  • broad non-food product portfolio
  • continuous supply chain optimisation across all customer branch offices

With 350 branches in Europe, Australia and Asia, and 450 branches in North, Central and Latin America, INPACS is close to its customers wherever they are.

Both customers and members benefit from the best possible international purchasing conditions:

  • Quality
  • Conditions
  • Observance of human rights
  • Fair working conditions
  • Environmental protection
  • Sustainable supply chain

As a result, we enjoy the greatest possible competitive advantages, while also acting responsibly, since INPACS cooperates internationally with selected, strategically valuable suppliers, who all respect the INPACS supplier code of conduct.

The INPACS GmbH service and coordination headquarters are located just to the south of Berlin and currently employ 20 staff.

As a global organisation of family-run companies with a long-term view, INPACS takes responsibility for the environment and society (corporate social responsibility).

The principle of sustainability is firmly anchored in the corporate culture at INPACS.

This is underlined by the observance of the following standards:

Certified environment management

The quality and environment management system at INPACS is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and includes both regular risk analyses and the consideration of direct and indirect environmental aspects with regard to ongoing improvement of the environmental footprint.

DNK compliance

With the Declaration of conformity with the Sustainability Code, INPACS presents an account every year of its sustainable, non-financial performance, thus voluntarily fulfilling the EU reporting obligation in this area.

Climate neutrality

INPACS has been participating in the compensation programme for greenhouse gas emissions, organised by the “Climate without Borders” organisation, since 2015, and has a “climate neutral” certificate.
The compensation programme invests in efficient ovens for cooking for Ugandan communities, as a result of which 140,000 tonnes of charcoal and firewood have been saved every year.

Sustainability Gold Status by EcoVadis

As a result of the evaluation of internal social, environmental and ethical practices, the INPACS central operation has achieved EcoVadis Gold Status, with above-average ratings for all evaluated areas within the INPACS business category.
EcoVadis runs one of the leading international platforms providing CSR ratings of suppliers for global supply chains.
The declared goal by mid-2018 is the successful completion of the evaluation of all INPACS members.
