Promotion of young talent

As a family-run company, the promotion of young talent is particularly important to us.

We offer young talented people several ways of starting their professional life with us:

  • Professional training
  • Dual studies
  • Trainee programme

Professional training has already been an important component of future planning at igefa for many decades.

During the reporting period, we achieved a training quota of around 6 percent, with 157 trainees.

Our wide range of training professions offers school-leavers the right training path, from those with a lower secondary school-leaving certificate to A-level students.

igefa offers wide-ranging, high-quality training.

From the first day onwards, trainees take an active part in the company and take on responsibility.

Through individual training measures, the topics that are of particular importance in everyday work are looked at in greater depth.



In addition to professional training, we offer other ways of joining the company at many of our locations:

  • Dual studies in business management or logistics
  • Trainee programmes

Our trainees and dual students pass through all divisions and functional areas of the company, so that they can be employed in many different ways at the end of their programme.

Young talent can be shown the various opportunities for professional development within the company at an early stage.

Our ongoing goal is to take on trainees with high performance levels.

After all, in principle, we offer training in order to be able to fulfil our requirement for qualified specialist and management staff in the future.

Many former trainees now hold positions of responsibility in the company, both in Germany and abroad.

The specialist qualification programme is supplemented at various locations with part-time training.

In three seminar modules, the trainees learn the basics of team work, successful communication with customers and colleagues, and how to handle conflicts.
In this way, the young people learn social skills, methodological fitness and how to make independent decisions, in order to support their personal development.
