The biggest asset our company has is our staff.

Our staff identify with the corporate policy and values at igefa, not least because we support them and qualify them individually.

For us, the ongoing development of talent among our own employees therefore has highest priority.

Almost 40 percent of our staff have been working for us for over 10 years.

We want to keep them in the company with their skills.

Systematic future planning

Our long-term personnel planning stiupulates that we fill as many specialist and management positions as possible with our own staff as part of our long-term succession planning.


At the same time, we aim to develop our employees to become entrepreneurs in the company - to individuals who take a longer view, who have creative ideas and are an important impetus.

To this extent, the systematic needs- and future-oriented development of our staff, as well as support for new staff, is of key importance.


Qualification and further training

We continuously invest in the qualification of our staff and support them in building up the new competencies, skills and abilities that they need for their daily work.

As part of regular staff discussions, the manager and the member of staff jointly determine the individual development needs of the member of staff.

are agreed and their personal career plan is discussed. This process forms the basis for the follow-up planning and the ongoing further development of the company groups.

If needed, and if they are suited, we transfer new tasks and functions onto our staff, which offer greater responsibility and therefore better prospects for development in the long term.

As a globally operative group of companies, we can offer our staff career paths in Germany and abroad.


Campus Seminarsituationigefa Campus – methodical staff development

The igefa campus, our further training facility founded in 2012, supports us in the individual development and qualification of our staff.

ISO 29990 TÜV-SüdFrom the central office in Berlin, the training measures are managed and designed for staff throughout Germany - both for our customers and our employees.

In 2015, the igefa campus was certified according to DIN EN ISO 29990 for learning service providers for the first time.


With this management system, we ensure that our high quality standards and standards for continuous development are met.

As a result, we changed the organization of the igefa campus in 2016 - among other things in terms of sustainability:
Four decentralised training locations now mean that staff have a shorter journey to travel, thus minimising our CO2 footprint.

In 2017, 49 employee seminars took place, from which a total of 314 seminar participants benefited.
In addition, many employees were further qualified outside our igefa campus in various facilities:

  • Training in their specialist field, e.g. IT programmes
  • Courses in adult education centres
  • Certificate courses
  • Master courses
  • Part-time study courses at higher education institutions
  • Training organized by the member companies

Compared to previous years, the number of participants has fallen. One reason for this is the partial decentralization of the campus organization: Decentralized training courses are not included in the statistics. This means that the real number of trained employees is higher. On the other hand, after the training offensive in 2015/2016, the campus programme was only occasionally developed and therefore had too little new learning content in 2017.

The goal is now to adapt the campus offering again to the changed needs of the Corporate Groups by 2019 and to align it to the future.
