The igefa Sustainability Council is the federal control body for sustainability activities in the company group.
The council consists entirely of representatives from the owner families, which underlines the meaning of sustainability within igefa.
The two chairwomen are Julia Del Pino Latorre (Kruse company group) and Anna Eichler‐Schenck (Eichler‐Kammerer company group), headed by executive board member Wolfgang Eichler.
The igefa Sustainability Council develops the sustainability strategy and drives it forward by creating binding goals, guidelines, measures and projects.
It ensures transparency through internal and external statements of accounts.
As the point of contact for all issues relating to sustainability at igefa, the Sustainability Council also promotes active dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
Expert partners from a wide range of different areas of specialisation act as providers of know-how for strategy development and reporting, as well as multipliers in the corporate areas and regions.
The expert partners are specialists and management staff from the fields of business development, sales, product responsibility, strategic purchasing, logistics, IT/e-business, administration/controlling, compliance, international relations, marketing, the environment and occupational safety management, and are also representatives of all igefa company groups.
In the summer/autumn of 2016, the new igefa Sustainability Council, with the involvement of all these partners, began a comprehensive stakeholder analysis, a detailed consideration of the CSR topics that are of key importance to igefa and its stakeholders, and a fundamental risk analysis, in order to redefine the igefa sustainability strategy and goals.
The key results from this are presented in the measures/ongoing activities described in the igefa sustainability strategy.
